Hi, everyone! I hope this isn't a duplicate posting. It's taken me
a couple of tries to get it right, so if this has previously come
through, my apologies.

I am a writer doing research on a No. Paiute woman, Sarah Winnemucca
(app. 1844-1891) whose life was touched in a very small way but
important way by one Lt. Aaron B. Jerome, Company M, 8th Calvary.
This Lt. Jerome served at Fort Churchill and Camp/Fort McDermit in
NV. during the late 1860s early '70s under Capt. Dudley Seward and
Capt. James McElroy. My quest is to find out more info about this
man. So I googled his name and found out about the Signal Corps Lt.
Aaron B. Jerome who served under Gen. Buford at Gettysburg. Would
anyone know if this would be the same guy? And if so, how did he get
from the Civil War to No. NV.? Any help/guidance would be terrific.
many thanks
Linda
