<< I remember Jim Cameron giving a muster tour and making the comment that
he
didn't really understand this particular part of the battle (Stony Hill
IIRR), so he put the tour together so that he could. I can now really
understand what he was talking about! Putting together this class forced me
to bring together the little bits and pieces I've picked up over the years
and bring them into some sort of cohesive, presentable presentation. I'm
certain I learned as much as the kids.

I can't wait to do something like that again!

And then the Park goes and clears the trees and open up the Rose farm lane
into the Wheatfield right AFTER I do the tour! Made me feel like doing the
whole think over again, just to take advantage of the view. Oh well, timing
is everything, as the saying goes. :)

Seriously, though, there's no better way to really learn about a part of the
battle - even one you think you already know pretty well - than to put
together a tour. Also nothing better, if you're a bit of a show-off to
begin with!

Jim Cameron
