If a publisher deems your manuscript worthy of publishing, I don't think
your age matters at all.  And, at 17, you're old enough in all states to
sign a contract.  So no barrier there.

I am a 17 year old who is currently writing a history of the Second Corps
from its formations to the Battle of Gettysburg. I was wondering if
publishing companies will publish books by someone at my age. I have given
talks at Civil War Roundtables and I am self publishing my first book. One
of my articles is being edited for publication in the Gettysburg Magazine. I
am not yet finished but I have extensive unpublished sources that I have
referenced. I talked to Michael Dreese and he said to talk to Mcfarland.
They have not responded yet. So I thought I would ask here.
