GDG- Pipe Creek where are the maps?

It is treated like a side issue, instead of in the context of the campaign.
Pipe Creek was a reflection of a vision pf how Meade viewed the field.
Hooker had a different vision, a very different vision.
Meade was in the process of twisting the AoP defensive posture to his
vision. Meades vision intervened, in the form of Reynolds wing, a hooker
legacy.
IMHO, Hookers vision more suited Lincoln's vision of the battle plan than
Hooker. Hooker's vision was shaped to seal Lee after he trapped himself.
Meade's vision would have been a staic defense sahped to do one thing,
defend DC.
I read an account years ago about a force of crusaders going from one castle
to the other.
The Knights, fuklly armormed, rode a mile or so ahead. The trains followed.
In addition to the food, suport team etc their wives and families were in
there.
A force of saracens attacked the trains, took all the people and other
portables, then left.
Pipe Creek would have done that to the Cumberland.
When you understand that, you understand why Meade allowed Lee to steal that
March on him. Meade's job, in meades mind, was to make sure Lee left.
We only touch on that. .
Regards,
Jack
