GDG- Pipe Creek where are the maps?

That's my understanding also. He did a lot of maps. His encampment map can
give ou a biirds eye view of Civil War defenses, sanitation etc.
His collection is at the library of congress site. It is a good place to
start for an overall view of most operations. Unfortunately, the "invasion
map" is not there.
I think his Valley map is considered the Crown Jewel. I know that it is used
as an interpretative tool by the NPS. A copy is laminated to a sign on the
road through the park above the valley. In it's own way, it is as profound
as the opening bit at Ft. McHenry.
