lives in the Schaeffer farmhouse.

 Here is a brief description of the history of the property:

> SWORD & SABER is located just outside Gettysburg at the historic 
> Shaeffer Farm, originally known as Wolf's Walk, from an original 
> William Penn Land Grant. The house was built in 1780, and was at first 
> a Tavern, under the sign of 'George Washington'. Colonial Troops 
> drilled on the green in front of the house. Just before the Battle of 
> Gettysburg, Joshua Chamberlain's 20th Maine marched past the house, up 
> the Baltimore Pike and into legend. The field to the rear of the 
> property was used as a Prisoner of War camp for captured Rebels, and 
> the house was designated a Union Field Hospital. After his wounding in 
> the fighting at the Peach Orchard, New York General Daniel Sickles was 
> carried to the house for the amputation of his leg. The house was used 
> for other casualties as well, and holes were drilled in the floors to 
> facilitate the draining of spilled blood. The holes and bloodstains 
> are visible to this day.
