GDG- Artillery at Gettysburg

Thank you for the quick response.

The 3rd Company Richmond Howitizers had four 3 inch rifled guns at Gettysburg. That is all of the guns in the battery. Since they did not have any smoothbores could he have been making a comment about the smoothbores not being deployed during the battle. I guess the real question is did the Confederate deploy all of their artillery or mostly use the rifled guns and place the smootbores as a reseve for when the range of them could be use to good effect.
