That's ok...

I will be down there for the Anniversary.. So I can say the same thing. LOL!

I love it when I find new stuff. Even after I think well 50 + visits!!!

That's what makes the place so darn interesting. There is ALWAYS something
new to learn.

For instance.. Since I am a born and bred Jersey boy, I just love to explore
where my states troops were. So I have walked where Burlings Brigade (The
5,6,7,8 NJ where part of it ) was parceled out from to each regiments
location in the battle. That's a lot of hiking. But that's what stompin is
all about. And when I do that, I get a better sense of what the men saw as
they went into battle.

I am with you.. Have a great time this weekend. Give my regards to all.

I'm sorry Jim, not my intention, but no one else I know even cares that I'm
here. Jim and I wandered around the day one field for a couple of hours. Got
lost and ended up on Berdan Avenue, a place neither of us even knew was
there. I don't mind telling you I feel pretty strong, having "discovered"
something cool  for myself. After I called Tom H. to come and find us,
it turned out he'd never been there either. He called it the Berdan
Sharpshooters fore ward marker. We followed him back to Reynolds ave, where
he showed us where Doubledays line ended by the fair field road, explained
the road naming rules ( the road is named after the place it's going to, so
the same road is "The Fair field Road" if your going to Fair field, and the
Gettysburg Road" if your going to G Burg, and Middle street when your in
town. I'm glad they gave them numbers). Then we stopped by the Reynolds
wounding marker, where he told us why he, and others, believe Reynolds was
hit further in from where the marker is. We went to the new Mexican
Restaurant for dinner and now I'm getting cleaned up and heading to the
Mine. I'll drink a toast in your honor.

K.
Maybe I am. just a little, rubbing it in.

Hey! I'm here! awesome day. hot, humid, pool outside my room looks
particularly inviting.  Met up with Jim Brinton, did lunch and a
bunch
of smiddicks. (dark beer) at O Rourke's. Try the Shepard's pie. (
available
on Thursday and Sunday). Good buys at wal marts on jeans ( $8.00) they carry
martini olives at the state store. Gosh, this is such a civilized place.
Came in down rt 83, giggled when I first saw the "GETTYSBURG_ CAMP
HILL"
sign.
God forgive me, almost feels like coming home.
heading out for the "day one" field in an hour or so.

All of those people who are sooooooooooooo knowledgeable that we feel
too intimidated to post are going to gone this weekend. So it's our turn
to take over the group.
