If I recall correctly, his place of discharge was Frankfort Kentucky.

To be frank it could have been a problem with his buns. Might have
slowed him down so much he couldn't ketchup. Getting dismissed must have
put him in quite a pickle at home.

As we all look forward to another great Muster, I was moved to ponder
some
of the forms of punishment used in the 1860's. For instance:

I was recently looking over some compiled roster data for a regiment. I
think it was the 27th Indiana, but don't quote me on that. What caught
my
eye was the unfortunate soldier who must have done something horribly
wrong.
Right there in black and white it said, "mustard out for disability",
thus-and-such a date. I wondered what the mechanism for that might be.
Is he
the source of that chill some of feel when standing in the hot dog line
-
condemned to spend eternity in a world of condiments without ever being
allowed to have a hot dog? Were there any other soldiers who actually
looked
forward to the end of their service with relish?

Perhaps it's something the ghost hunters should look into.
