In Frederick (near Antietam) is the Museum of Civil War Medicine.

Hi all
I am holding a week-long civil war camping trip for middle school
students this month. We're spending Monday to Wednesday in the Antietam
area and then we'll be at Gettysburg from Wednesday evening to Friday
afternoon. I'm looking for advice on two diversions: 1) interesting
historical sites in either area not necessarily related to the battles,
but still very interesting for students and 2) just plain fun stuff -
miniature golf, etc, that might be in the area. Especially nice in this
regard would be a public pool or swimming area that included showers!
This is the first time I've organized something like this. I'm hoping
it expands and becomes a yearly event - I may add on a trip to the
southern/western theater next year.

Thanks.
