Not even close.  A line from the left of Caldwell's position passes close by 
the George Weikert place, or if anything, slightly to the east of it.
You are correct that the so-called Paine Map doesn't show the 3rd Corps back 
along the ridge.  That's why it's very misleading to base anything on a 
document the true nature of which is so unproven.  Unless or until proven to 
be the early morning sketch map, it simply cannot be assumed to be that map.
