GDG- Are you a "lumper" or a "splitter"

I ran across a quote from a gentlemen by the name of JH Hexter where he
classified historians as "lumpers " or "splitters" the former being
historians who look into the large overarching themes while the latter
concentrate on the particulars I would label myself a lumper probably
because I am too lazy to learn the particulars . I think with Gettysburg
there is ample room for both. The three days of battle itself provides
an almost unlimited supply of particulars while Lincolns Gettysburg
address made the battle a feast for the lumpers..
