This is not your typical magazine. There are NO advertisements; it is all
content. Rather than a magazine, consider it a softbound book. There are
some issues found here and there, but they are tough to come by.
Getttysburg Magazine is indeed a unique resource, more akin to a series of
anthologies of original articles rather than a typical "magazine". If you
want to read of groundbreaking research and insightful analysis about
Gettysburg, including unmatched "microhistories" of individual units, Gettysburg
Magazine is the place to go. I have every issue including the first sitting on my
"permanent" bookshelves (i.e., those books I consider too valuable and useful
to bury in boxes in the basement or garage). Of my published CW writings,
it is the two Gettysburg pieces in which I take the most pride (and one of
these days I really really gotta get around to writing down that new article
that has very slowly been coalescing in my mind).
