GDG- Witness rocks

To state the obvious: except in the areas immediately adjacent to park
roads, monuments and the old trolley line (for example, Devils Den), the
diabase boulders and outcroppings around the field are "witness rocks",
little changed since the battle (they erode very, very slowly!).  As a
boy, I was fascinated by the thought of a soldier taking cover behind
the boulders where I was standing...
