GDG- Myles Keogh

In fact, as I recall, in his ORs Buford specifically thanks Keogh for his
service to him during the campaign.  Keogh left on leave sometime around the
armies' crossing of the river, but was back on staff by the end of the
month.

There are two good bios of Keogh out there, one a chapter in "Myles Keogh:
Irish Dragoon in the Seventh Cavalry" by Brian Pohanka, and another a rare
volume on the life of Keogh called "The Honor of Arms" by Charles Convis.

As Buford's principal aide, Keogh would have been right at Buford's
side, and doing whatever bidding Buford might have had him do, such as
carrying messages, etc.

Same thing during the retreat.
