GDG- 124th New York Infantry

Esteemed members,
               I am doing a bit of research on the 124th New York Infantry at the time of Chancellorsville and Gettysburg, and have a couple of dumb questions (which I hope the membership will excuse), but one that the I cannot find the answer to.   The first is does anyone know what type of arms this regiment carried in mid 1863?  The second, the one I ought to be able to find the answer to is, what color was their corps badge; I believe that it was a red diamond, am I correct?  Now I will go back to lurking and return you back to the regularly scheduled program.
