If you look at page 108, Gettysburg: A Journey In Time (Frassanito), you will
see Tyson's photo, circa July 7, 1863, depicting Stewart's position. Note
his lunettes are north-northeast of gatehouse fronting town. If you pass
through the gate and walk due east you would have run into Breck's left flank and
Wilber. That battery was in echelon with the left piece nearer the pike then
the right which was about the right 100 yards or so east of it, off Cooper's
(later Ricketts) right. Stewart was in the gap and to the rear of Cooper.
Wilber may have repositioned his rifle during the Benner's Hill engagement
but was for the most part covering the pike early on, especially during the
retreat the evening of July 1st.
