And based on other information made purlic, the foundation is also getting federal money for the restoration project.

Hi all, 

I have been to Williamsburg and experienced all the fees from that place. We
should NOT forget where Washburn is from.... So I am not surprised. 

One more thing. While I have no direct evidence of this being the case, I do
wonder if this is sort of a trial balloon.. Put it out there and see what
kind  of reaction it gets. And then adjust accordingly... 

This is also makes me wonder if this is to pay off notes or bonds that were
created privately to fund the restoration of the painting. Then it would
make sense.
