GDG- George Sandoe

Hello, 

I’m trying to get information about Private George W. Sandoe.  Other than the obvious fact that he was considered the first killed, what other information does any one have about this man?  I have read various accounts of his death.  Some say that he was with a small squad of men others just report that he was with Nathaniel Lightner.  Does any one know which account is true?  Also, I read on a forum that he was a hired replacement.  Does anyone know if this is true?  Any other information that anyone would have in regards to this subject would be greatly appreciated.
