GDG- Cushing's battery

I recently posted a message where I mentioned a mystery regarding Cushing's
battery during Pickett's charge, but someone responded by saying that there
is no mystery. I thought, from reading about Pickett's charge, that there
were questions regarding which guns were lost when, when certain guns were
moved, and whether the men from the 71st PA actually helped with the battery
or not. Could anyone explain what is know about these events? Thanks.
