GDG- G'burg prepares to limit size of walking tours

Specifically, the restriction, since it will be by the Gettysburg Borough Council, can only apply within borough limits. The NPS owns very little in the borough. In addition, having conducted town walks with Walter Wells, I can tell you that even 26 is a high number on what can be managed adequately on town sidewalks and intersections. I think the whole thing turns around the ghost tours, not because of the content of the tours, but because of the their size, their frequency, and the fact that they occur after dark. The limitiations, as I understand it, pretty much arose out of complaints from residents on noise and congestion.
