GDG- Electric Map

My aging brain may be playing tricks on me, but wasn't the Electric Map  
located in a different place before the NPS took over the current VC building?  
Was it in Charlie Weavers museum? I think I vaguely remember seeing it there. If 
 so, how did they move it to the VC 40+ years ago? Could it then be moved out 
the  same way?
