GDG- events

A couple years ago, I remember watching an F-16 (OK, I am not sure if it was an F-16, but it was a military fighter jet, and to me, every military fighter jet is an F-16 because I know no other type) circle a small single engine plane as it flew over the battlefield. The fighter plane circled it a few times until it landed and it was only a few hundred feet I would estimate over the battlefield. I assume the plane entered restricted airspace, as most of it is I assume because of the very close proximity to Site-R and Camp David.
So it you do rent a small two-seater, make sure you have clearance to avoid a similar fate ;-)
Thanks
Andy

The Mid Atlantic Soaring Center airport is in Fairfield, on the other side
of Rt 16 (Fairfield Rd) from Jacks Mountain. Not sure if they are active in
the winter but I would guess, for a fee, someone would do 360's around the
GNMP. Maybe you could try it from a two-seat trainer. That might be
exciting.

Hi Mike -
Not aware of any, but you get the same effect by sitting high up in the
auditorium and looking at the electric map.
