I got  the same email.  I went to the website and according to that it  was
due out 2/1/08.  It now lists it as "temporarily out of stock" and  says that
they will ship it when it available.  
 
Today I got a follow-up message from Amazon saying that my copy of  
Gottfried's "The Artillery of Gettysburg" has now been shipped to me.
