GDG- Re: Gettysburg Digest, Vol 45, Issue 6

Mr. Bearss showed up at our dinner table and autographed our book.

He did not carve Semper Fi in anyones forehead, but did carve it in a
grandson's heart.

A guy like Bearss doesn't needs footnotes. He writes with the spirit of a
warrior and in his own footnote.

He is beyond minituae, he understands spirit and what happened. It is ok to
know where an artillery was on day 2, but Mr. Bearss understands why it was
even there.

It is almost blasphemy to suggest otherwise.

Regards,

Jack
