GDG- Jeff Daniels

Last night I had the distinct pleasure of seeing Jeff ("Don't call me Lawrence ") Daniels (aka Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain) perform at the Barns at Wolf Trap here near DC.  It was a very entertaining show.  I never knew Jeff wrote songs let alone performed them!   I was very surprised at what a good singing voice he has.  His blues/folk song melodies are funny and are diary entries of things that happened to him during his life and career.  In between songs he talks about several of his movies.  During one segment he discussed the filming of Gettysburg, Gods and Generals and working with Ted Turner.  It was an interesting insight into the behind the scenes making of the films.  

If you ever have the opportunity to see Jeff in concert, you would be well advised to attend.  It was very enjoyable with good stories, good music and an evening full of laughs.  Kilrain would be proud!
