GDG- Buford

Rick,

That's it. It appears on page 923. I had looked at that a couple of times,
and somehow missed the reference. But it is there. It states:

"I learned from reliable men that Anderson's division was marching From
Chambersburg by Mummasburg, Hunterstown, Abbottstown, on toward York. I
have sent parties to the two firt-named places, toward Cashtown, and a
strong force toward Littletown."

Thanks, Tom

Hi,

Tom, the sources appear to be the 30 June messages from Buford to
Pleasonton. They are on pages 922-923 of the OR Pt I.

I have a reference to Buford dispatching scouting parties toward
Mummasburg,
Hunterstown, Cashtown, and Littlestown probably on June 30, but cannot
locate the source. I thought it was in the OR, but it has not turned up
as
yet.

Is anyone familiar with this, and can provide the source?

Tom Ryan
