Hi John,

PVT Benjamin Flood is listed on the PA Monument as being a member of A
Co, 71st PA Infantry.

According to COL Smith's report, on 3 July 50 of his men were assisting
LT Cushing's battery and the rest were at the wall.

I will have to check a couple of other sources to see if I can fid out
exactly which companies were with Cushing.

VR, Rick Schaus

Esteemed GDG Member Contributes:

According to the NPS at
http://www.nps.gov/archive/gett/getttour/tstops/tstd3-20p.htm , eight
companies of the 71st PA were at the stone wall on July 3rd. Is this
true,
and if so which two companies *were not* at the wall and where were they
during the charge?

Also does anyone have a list of the names on the PA Monument? I would
like
to know if Benjamin Flood of the 71st is listed.

Thank you,

John Gross
