It has done a lot good in its time but its time is past. The map is the size of a swimming pool. I can't see sacrifing that much space to an obsolete audio-visual aid.

Well then why not put it under Plexiglas and make it part of the floor or
build some kind of outdoor display case in front of the new VC just preserve
it and DISPLAY it that's all. As a preservationist can you not see all of
the good this map has done through the years? I understand this seems maybe
a bit much but why put it away where nobody sees it.
