Hi Dennis,
Yes the Union did.. They are up on Culps Hill. They can still be see.
Its hard to believe but crude ones were done up on LRT, and also the fence
line at the angle was made higher in some places by stacking face rails on
top.
By no means was there anything CLOSE to what would be well with the
exception of Culps Hill, as would be seen later in the war.
