The CT troops did the right thing and turned them into the War Department  - 
something that Union regiments out West seemed to not want to do very much -  
hence the hundreds of missing CS flags today (some 80 from Vicksburg  alone).
 
Bruce - if you head down this way let me know and I will show them to  you.  
I am always awe-struck by these flags (all CW flags).
