GDG- Minnesota at Gettysburg

I got an e-mail tonight from a man in Minnesota who has found  a relative 
buried in Mn. he is saying the marker has it as E. Coleman Austin of the 
28th NC. SO what is a man fighting from NC buried in Mn.
