one of my favorite CW memories was in 1980, I was in New Orleans and I
wandered into one of those musty little book shops they have down there, and I
found a beat-up single OR volume for sale ($3) .. I didn't care what volume it
was, to me it was like finding gold
Perhaps 20 years ago I was fortunate enough to run across a source (I can't
remember what it was) that had essentially all the volumes of the OR available
for mail order purchase. I ended up buying all the volumes that covered
the AOP campaigns. They are mismatched -- some volumes going back to the
original printing, others from modern reprints -- but they were a wonderful
resource in those pre-CD days. I wish I had enough available bookshelf space to
keep them at hand all the time, but alas I do not, so rely upon the CD version
for ordinary use (and detailed research).
