Eric Wittenberg turned me on to the OR's on cd a few years ago and I have
never looked back. I've been working on the issue of John Reynolds having
two signal officers assigned to him. If it were not for the cd edition I
would still be scouring the paper versions.
Books are a wonderful thing, but I would rather have everything I can find
on disc. It's much faster to find items in a rush.
BTW, we just returned from a long weekend in Gettysburg. We did a few things
we have not had the time to do in the past (every time I go out without the
uniform, I become more inspired to leave the uniform at home). The Shriver
house for instance. What a great tour! I imagine most of you have had the
chance to do the tour, but if not, add it to your list.
Sharon and I took a self guided tour of the farms of Gettysburg. It was an
awesome learning experience from the civilian point of view. I had not known
that so many reimbursement claims went unpaid by the Federal Government.
The ghost tours were of course in full swing. It seems like ghosts are what
bring the tourists to Gettysburg these days.
