Jack: I couldn't agree with you more. I have been interested in Williams ever since I started researching the 128th Pa at Antietam. Williams does an incredible job taking over the XII Corps after Mansfield is mortally wounded and with many of his troops being green (including the 128th). It is evident to me that he was certainly passed over because of something other than competence, because he was more than capable.
