Paulson Brothers Ordnance out of Clear Lake, Wisconsin has a Whitworth in their collection that they shoot routinely. For clips of live action firing (and an impressive look at the power of Civil War artillery), check out their website at: http://www.pbocorp.biz/action.htm. I'd be very surprised if there wasn't a Whitworth among the cannon in live-fire competition at North-South Skirmish Assocation Nationals held at Winchester, VA every May and September as well.

From my understanding, the scream they made when shot was terrifying to the soldiers. They had a long range too.> I'd love to hear one - just once!> JoAnn> > > "Some kid a hundred years from now is going to get interested in the > Civil War and want to see these places.
