GDG- 6th U.S. Cavalry at Fiarfield

Just finished reading a well-written article in the July 2007 issue of
America's Civil War by esteemed member J.D. Petruzzi about the near
annililation of the 6th U.S. Cavalry by Jones' brigade at Fairfield on July
3.  It includes a story and photograph about a reunion of the 6th U.S.
survivors in 1911 at the Marshall house in Fairfield that served as a
hospital at the time of the battle.  Anyone else read it?

Good job, J.D.  Keep them coming!  Anything else on the griddle?
