Yeah, but at least it's only uphill after all that... :-)

My son and I noticed this too back in July. It is awe-inspiring to think
of what all those "normal" soldiers accomplished - marching all day in
the hot sun, crossing that terrain while being shelled, then getting to
charge uphill(up slope?) against a bunch of battle-hardened Yankees...
