GDG- Brandy Station numbers

	Being that Brandy Station can be considered part of the Gettysburg 
Campaign, here's my query:

		In North and South, Vol.5, No. 3, in an article by Patrick Brennan, 
an Order of Battle appears on page 22.

		I am trying to understand the numbers of troops involved. This Order 
of Battle lists for Buford "5,793 men, including infantry and horse 
artillery." Yet when I add up the breakdown - from the same list - is 
shows Buford with 2061, artillery with 375, and Ames with 1500. Adding 
these figures up, I get 3936. Are the missing 1857 men part of the 
reserve kept at the ford and not brought forward until later?

		Any help?
