You know just maybe Wesley Merrit and his brigade were NOT in the rear with
the wagon train! Hey there you have it, that's got to be! They were in GB
BEFORE THE battle to do it!! Yep.. That's got to be the truth! ;-)

Could have been JEB Stuart's men trying to prepare the site for Marse Robert
since they knew they were going to be busy elsewhere and not available for
the battle......;)

I can honestly say that I've never given any thought to the brave men who
came in before the battle to put up the monuments, so that everyone would
know where to stand.

Hard to argue with that logic! The battle was in the middle of the summer,
so I'm sure all the monuments were installed ;)
