Thanks for this info Ginny.  I use McCurdy in my Civilian Class/talk  that I do.  I am assuming it is the same person because the age is right.  From a book entitled "Reluctant Witnesses",  "After the battle, Albertus McCreary and 10 year old Charlie McCurdy combed the battlefield for relics.  “They sometimes found pockets of bullets in a pile . . .lead was scarce at this time and the boys went into business making 13 cents a pound."
