GDG- 2nd NH using "Poison and Explosive Bullets" at Gettysburg?

<< In  June 1863, the second New Hampshire made requisition for 35,000 of these shells [2] and received 24,000. The second New  Hampshire regiment was at the battle of Gettysburg and 49 of  its number lie  buried there.

Has anybody ever seen  corroborating evidence for this?  >>
The 2nd NH is often noted a having had some of this ammunition.  Other than that, I can't say I've ever seen (or for that matter, looked for) any confirmation.  Whether they did ot not wouldn't have had any effect on the battle, one way or the other, so in my opinion the matter would be little more than a footnote or curiosity.
