GDG- Plenty Of Blame To Go Around

Evening all,

 
On the subject of the book, and I know I am biased,  but it's hard for me to 
understand how J.D.'s and Eric's book was not even  mentioned in terms of the 
annual Batchelder/Coddington Award.  How many new  books on Gettysburg add 
anything to our learning about the entire  campaign?  Their book surely did, and 
while I know it was not written in  terms of getting an award for it, to be 
snubbed like that ticks me  off.
 
I am not saying they should have won, but to be ignored  and not mentioned is 
wrong, IMHO.
