Without a coordinated attack from the Long Lane are I don't think the attack from the east would have had long term success. I guess the other question is could a night attack from Long Lane been successful? There was a lot of skirmishing there throughput 2 July and into the night. I believe the 73rd Ohio suffered over 40% casualties. Chuck Schmitz
