Nick,

You are correct.  He was wounded in the neck but I was looking for the
location on the ground.  Since you were hot on that one, where was he taken
after being wounded and what  did he write in a note to his father??

   Col.  Isaac Avery took command of Hoke's North Carolina brigade after
Hoke
  was  wounded at Chancellorsville.  During the attack on East Cemetery
Hill,
  Avery was wounded.  Where was he  wounded?
