GDG- RE: Gettysburg National Military Park Longstreet Tower

The Longstreet Tower was built When the War Department ran the GNMP. They  
built 5 towers for staff rides and so students/future officers  could  better 
study the trerain.
 
The Department of Interior took over the GNMP in 1933 so the Longstreet  
tower pre dates that
