A great Book that tells the Tale of the Plight of Gettysburg and the GNMP is
"This Is Holy Ground" A History of the Gettysburg Battlefield 1863 - 2006 By
Barbara Platt. I had the Privilege to meet this Wonderful Lady and what a
wonderful chat I had with her. I have read it once and have put it on the
Bookshelf where I intend to read it again. Definitely worth the 10.95 I paid for
it. As far as cannons are concerned you will find Silent Sentinels A
reference guide to the artillery at Gettysburg By George W. Newton as about as
informative concerning the arty at Gettysburg During the Battle and how it was
collected recreated and refurbed to make the park as realistic as possible.
Another great read and well worth the 29.95 I spent on it. Another real cool way
to learn about the arty at Gettysburg is to try to get Mr. Newton to do a
Guided tour about it since he is a GLBG. Good luck to you and Happy reading. I
hope that any of this info will be helpful to you.
