Warren Zevon was the first to recognize that his music was not for everyone. However, if you can tolerate the music :), I'd recommend the VH-1 special that, essentially, is his video diary of his successful fight to record his final album after he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. It gives real meaning to grace (and humor) under the most dire circumstances. He died very shortly after recording was completed, and he was so weak that one of the final songs had to be recorded at his home.
