Exactly my point as well, Jim.  During 'what if' scenarios, there seems to
be the assumption that we can change a major portion of history, and assume
that everything else remains as is.  That's why I rarely engage in too much
'what iffing' (hey, a new phrase!) because as I stated in an earlier post,
if you change one event, it's a what if; change two that are dependant on
each other, and it becomes fantasy.
