The Old Post Office security went up after 9/11 because there's a federal
agency in the newer wing. I forget which one. They went in the shopping
mall-like addition that is now completely offices.
The Arts & Industries Building is where the locomotive is? There has been
controversy about that I think.
Ford's just closed Friday for 18 months.
American History closed Labor Day for 2-3 years I think but the last
Smithsonian Museum to close for renovations was closed twice as long as
planned. I saw the American History exhibits in Air & Space when I was there
in Feb. for the Georgetown-Marquette game and walked over after a post-game
lunch to see Spaceship One.
